For example, a 4" thick foam piece requiring 33 lbs. to compress 1" and return to 4" has a 33 lb. compression (ILD). Foam sheets are sold per sheet, not per yard. Open the package carefully with a pen or pencil, not a box cutter. This foam can last 7 to 10 years.
